Things to do in Rotterdam.
Got a couple of days here, rather then just sit in a bar/murder hookers/smoke drugs is there much to do?

Hire a bike. Get the water bus to Kinderdijk and cycle around the windmills. You can do it for hours and it's lovely. Make it even better by taking a picnic (seriously).

Is this the Dutch version of the 1995 Andy Garcia film, ‘Things to do in Deventer when you’re dead?’

You can also buy tickets for cash, at a tickey office. What you cannot do is pay a bus/tram driver in cash - just as you can't do on London buses.

Was on a train journey from Amsterdam airport to Breda a few years back. Train stopped and waited at South Rotterdam for a few minutes, looked like we were in downtown Peckham.

There's a telecom/observation tower from which you can marvel at the German re-design of the place. a fairly architecturally significant bridge across the Maas/Rhine and out towards the Hoek van Holland are the Noordzee flood gates which I believe you can wander around.

It's a working port city so not really very touristy, in my opinion.

The tram network is quite extensive - but cashless; you'll need the equivalent of an Oyster card for all public transport in The Netherlands (except, perhaps InterCity trains).

Maybe Feyenoord stadion slightly to the south.

Den Haag/The Hague is only 30 minutes north by train where you might find some of the beach bars & cafes already open; watching the sun set from one of those is quite an un-Dutch experience (apart from the beer for company).

Zuider Strand in Scheveningen has a nudist section...

I read that as things to do in Rotherham.

Don't know on either count.
